Description
Star Command brings to life the challenges and joys of managing a starship. Upgrade your ship, get out into the unknown and watch your crew die grizzly deaths all at your command. Strange and annoying alien civilizations await you at every turn. Manage each of your ships roles, focusing on science skills, tactical combat and ship engineering. Prevent alien invaders from taking over your ship and causing massive amounts of damage with sentry guns. Revive dying crew members with new rooms! And don’t forget that your decisions matter - an enemy made early could come back to haunt you later.
History
Star Command began development in Spring of 2011. Justin and Jordan Coombs (brothers and mortal enemies) were working in advertising and began considering the idea of bringing an X-Com inspired strategy game to mobile devices. After revealining some concept shots on Reddit that quickly shot up to the front page of r/gaming, it became clear that Star Command had legs. Two kickstarters, a couple years and many beers later Star Command was released on iTunes to glowing reviews. Six months later it was released on Android and currently maintains a 4.5 rating having sold over 600,000 copies.
